The Directorate of Fisheries is under the Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperatives Govt. of Jharkhand. It is headed by the Director Fisheries and it has 24 offices of the District Fisheries Officer in all the districts of the state. The state level offices are Fish Farmers Training Centre and Fisheries Research Centre both at Ranchi.
